Redhat root password

I recently installed RedHat 7.3 on my old computer. I had trouble installing the network card and i wanted to look at the system settings. Whenever i try to open up hardware browser it asks me for a root password but i never set one. The only password i set was my user password and that doesnt work. Is there some kind of standard root password for redhat? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it's typically 'root'

I'm confused. As far as I know, it's impossible to install Linux without setting a root password.

Do you remember the "set root password" screen on installation? Do you know what you did?
