Enable Users to make Posts

How can i make i so people on my website can create posts? I know i could get a forum, but i want something that i can understand and edit. An example of what im looking for is this website.

I'm a novice, so i don't know how complicated it will be. I don't know anything really dynamic yet, so do you think i can do it?

Any explainations on how this works or some code demonstrating it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

In order to do that you will have to learn a server-side scripting language.

But - they aren't hard!

If you are familiar with nothing server-side and you are familiar with Windows, I would go to http://www.webmonkey.com/authoring , look under "backend" and then "databases" and take the "Rugged ASP" tutorial, and the related tutorials. They will give you exactly the kind of code demonstrations and examples you're looking for, I think.

Another WONDERFUL site is www.w3schools.com .

And YEAH you can do it. This kind of stuff is not hard, it just takes a little bit of practice - like skateboarding.

P.S. , the design of that site is entirely too busy (in my personal opinion).

Surprising for a "Digital Video Editing" site... you can probably do better.

1st of all, this had BETTER be easier than skating...

Thanks for the links, i've only skimmed the sites, but they look like just what im looking for.

BTW: I know the digital video editing website wasn't all that pretty, but i wouldn't mind knowing how to do that. And once i figure it out, i can add the bells and whistles.
