LittleAriel.com - 2nd anniversary!

Hello there,
I know, I know, I've been missing in action for a while
As most of you know, I built my site from scratch with a notepad.
I've added many new categories and now feel I've completed it.
Visitations to LittleAriel have continued to increase every month and I'm now receiving nearly 2000 unique visitors DAILY.

But.. as we all know, a webmasters work is never done, and I'm always looking for areas to improve on.
If you get the chance, please check and see if I've done it ALL right ( yeah right! )

Lotsa work

Tables for layout, inline styles, JavaScript rollovers instead of :hover, yadi yadi yada. But for the rest: really cute!

Great catch.
I think we both typoed though: itmes/times should read items.

Hmmm... I wonder if "typoed" is a typo

Thanks for looking.
I'm not sure what you mean regarding "Tables for layout".
I use a lot of tables, is that a bad thing?
I do use a javascript rollover on the mini LittleAriel logo in the upper left for animating the logo and prompting the wav file.. is there an easier way? Please let me know.
You're right about the style sheet... it's really LARGE!
Thanks again

I suggest reading a couple of the recent threads, especially the long ones, or search for "tables layout"; that'll get you started...

I was aiming for the double rollover effect in the buttons across the top and left of the page; very nice visual effect, but on the link itself a rollover effect can be accomplished more compactly using the :hover pseudoclass in a style sheet.

Not only that, but I noticed a lot of inline styles in the pages themselves that looked like they could be moved to the external style sheet, sort of defying the benefits of CSS altogether.

You're welcome; I really meant it's a cute site. Very appropriate, considering the subject.
