New user titles explained

Just a note that there's a new user title system in place:

CF newcomer 0-50 posts
CF regular 50-300
CF addict 300-1000
CF nut >1000

This versus the old system, which was:

Junior member 0-30 posts
Member 30-100
Senior member >100

Looks a bit as if I were a die-hard ColdFusion fan (I'm not).

Anyway, I like them. Is more interesting than member - senior member.

Sorry, but i don't see the added value of those titles, since the number of posts is shown in the same cell. Its not a indication for the knowledge of the user. The new one is ok for me, so was the old one. I never look at them. The only thing thats interesting is to know if someone is a moderator.

i think the descriptions dont describe the user as well as before

for example "CF Addict", this person may not be an addict, but just been in the forum a long time and have a high post number, even if they are not in fact, an addict to the forum.

on the other hand i do like the fact that it doesnt have emphasis on seniority, that could possibly distract users.

perhaps im thinking about it toooo much

An addict regularly comes back to whatever. I don't see your point.

Besides, this latest reincarnation of the WSAbstract forums hasn't been around long at all, I still even haven't come close to my 6000 or 7000 post count from the old forums...

ok jkd, i guess technically you are right
i was just thinking about the amount of times the forum is visited in a certain amount of time.as to say, you arent an addict if you visit the forum twice a month, but have a large post number from being here so long.although technically you DO come back.
but who am i anyway?

whatever WA decides is fine with me, its not my website and it wont effect the fact that i come here every day.
i was just suggesting that the titles should be more "general" instead of trying to state what type of person the poster is.
i do remember when you had thousands of posts heh

I think I need to go to some CF Annonymous meetings, I'm an CF adict.

edit: I just realised I am an addict, I always have a browser window open for the ASP forum..always oh oh and I refresh every few minutes, oh an I have special notification sounds for when a email from coding forums gets to my inbox which checks itself every 3 minutes.
