Webhost Looking for Partners (Web Designers, etc.)

Hello

Background: I run a small web hosting business as sort of a part time job. I run the operation on my own. I've been in business for a little over a year. The site (almost complete) is located at www.NickTheWebsiteGuy.com.

What I'm trying to do is setup a small group of people who can function as "web partners" for my clients. I market myself as a web handyman, and I'm trying to create a group of web handymen.

I'm pretty comfortable handling the hosting aspects of the business, but I am mediocre at best with the design aspects. I want to assemble a team so that I can match each client with his/her own specific needs to a web partner with his/her own specific skill set. Clients would come to me, explain what kind of web solution they need, and then I would pair them with the appropriate website handyman.

Conversely, you would help me market my business, bring your own clients in, and I would host them, etc. It would work similarly to an affiliate system: you bring the clients in, I give you a payout based on what services we provide for them.

I need a web designer, primarily. But I am looking to expand. If you're a freelancer with web design/web programming skills, and you'd like to affiliate yourself with someone in a growing business, please consider applying. (Edit: I also need someone who can manage email marketing/templates)

Please note upfront, however, that I will consider you an employee. I'm not providing people with a spot to advertise their services and then provide those services on the side, separate from my business. You will represent NickTheWebsiteGuy.com and run whatever business you generate through our collective organization. You'd be joining my team.

You might be thinking, "Why would I partner with you? Why not work solo?" Simple answer: it's hard to succeed working alone in this business. There are too many large firms drawing in the available market. We would all be benefited working as a team.

The best part for you, though: I'm not doing this to make millions for myself. I plan on making money (already doing pretty well with the clients I have), but it's always been about the challenge for growing something from nothing for me. You'd have the opportunity to make quite a bit percentage-wise based on the clientele you bring in. I want to grow this business as big as possible, but I want to do it for success itself.

Contact: PM me here or email me at nick[ at ]nickthewebsiteguy.com

Also, I will need to see some references/evidence of previous work experience to consider you.

Edit: I do not have any requirements for how many clients you bring in; however, you will not be paid until either you bring in a client or I match you with one. This is because, again, you will be paid on a percentage basis for the business you specifically generate.

What's the percentage earned per job? If I'm good at say the coding aspects only, but can't use photoshop or make any decent graphics myself, would you partner me up with a GFX pro and we'd split the profits?

Only a handful but I have not marketed at all - all of my clients have been through references. I'm just starting the marketing process (once I finish my site).

I'm not sure about the percentage. We would discuss it before we went to work. It would be upwards of 30% but I'm being conservative until I have time to really sit down and think about it.

I'll respond more thoroughly soon--just been running around all day.

Some of you may have emailed me--I will respond shortly! Thanks!
