Question why is this an error with the validator

the error is...

Value Error : z-index Parse Error z-index=-1

and that line of css reads...

form.cs { display: none; width: 500px; position: absolute; left: 140px; z-index: -1; }

p.s I didn't see it necessary to wrap it in code tags

met has a little shameless behaviour in the past
that css validates fine, the problem is elsewhere.

Parse Error z-index=-1

using an "=" instead of a ":" so that's probably the problem
