I'm creating a website for a class assignment and we each have to do two articles about a totalitarian regime then collaborate for the site. With Me being the only one who knows how to code, I'm doing the coding. Anyway, we want to add a live and auto-post comment feed to the bottom of each article so that people can add their feedback and ideas to it. I'm trying to learn how to code it myself for future references, and would love to refrain from going to a gadget site and just downloading a pre-made one.
I know that this mainly deals with PHP, but I've been reading (across the web) about it and found out that it also deals with a mySQL table. I know quite a bit of HTML and CSS proficiently (and as you can tell, I search the things I don't know) but I haven't gotten into mySQL (though I've heard it's the easiest coding language?) and know minimal PHP (I've created a php file for a form I created on an earlier site and that's it). How is it I would do this? I've found a few places that have examples and how-tos, but they don't really explain the code much (
http://www.zimmertech.com/tutorials/...t-tutorial.php is one of them).
Can someone either go in-depth or log into AIM to help me through it live? I need to get this coded TONIGHT if possible and definitely by tomorrow so I can post our articles that we have done for our english teacher to look at. ANY HELP WOULD DO, even if one person explains the mySQL table required, another the php for posting it and another for making sure I get the right connection from the form on the page to the php file.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
