Looking for a web coder/designer for a trade community.

Hey everyone, as the topic states, I'm looking for a coder and web designer (if you can do both, that's a bonus).

First off, I'm 18 (if that puts anyone off, sorry), and looking to start a website oriented around the trade of mainly virtual goods. Essentially, it'll be a large forum based community of gamers who are looking to trade their items/accounts/in-game currency/etc.

I'm going to need someone who can design the website and make sure everything works (now, it doesn't have to be professional, but I would like for it to look and operate well), I will also need someone to help implement a system that will work as a forum currency (ie. Gaia Online's gold, d2jsp's forum gold, etc). I've heard this requires a seperate database and some work.

I can't offer a salary right away, but as business partners, everyone will be earning a fair share of whatever income is generated from the website. I will be providing the funds for the web hosting, domain, and whatever else we need.

I can't divulge all of the details of my project through this post, so if you are interested and want to go indepth, you can contact me via MSN Messsenger at stanyeum@gmail.com, or hop on my ventrilo server at: chi3.ugt-servers.com (Port: 29477).

Thanks.

I have been planning this for a long time and have high hopes.

Sorry to put you through it, but you have to hear my speech now

#1: Web developers are not the same thing as angel investors or venture capitalists.

#2: It doesn't make any sense for you to think your coder should take on all of the risk of your project. This is exactly what you are doing when you don't pay any money for the up-front development costs. You are saying, "I have a great idea and I've been planning it for a while now. No, I don't have anything concrete, but if you will just put in a few hundred hours of work, I'm sure we'll both make a ton of money!"

Which leads to #3:

#3: You need to establish reasonable evidence that your project will indeed make money. The easiest way to do this is with a business plan. A business plan in its most basic form is a document that states what the business will be doing to make money, and how much money it will make over time. Without this plan, why would I invest more than 5 minutes in your idea?

#4: There are individuals and organizations that are dying to give you their money and help you succeed (and therefore make them rich alongside you). They are called Angel Investors. Search around your local area for a group of Angel Investors you can sell your dream to. You'll need to have your ducks in a row, but if you can convince just one of these people that your idea is going to give them good returns on their investment, you'll get your start-up capital and then you can find a good web developer who will have a really good reason to create your website-- you're paying them!

Haha yeah, I get you. Sorry for any misunderstanding. I didn't mean that web designers or anyone from this community had to invest in my project. I have real life associates who would invest a couple dollars just out of goodwill and curiosity.

I definately do have a business plan, it's just I would prefer not to reveal it here. If you really are interested, please do throw me a message and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

For the coders, we can go over my business plan and terms of payment upon project completion. I can almost guarantee that you will meet favorable conditions.

Thanks.
