I felt that the old stock photo thread needed a little tidying up, so here are a list of the popular stock photo collections that are used by many web developers.
For those of you who do not know what a stock photo is, it is basically pictures of people, places, or objects. Clicking on one of the links will give you a better idea of what they are.

to answer niko's question... in most cases you cannot use Flickr's picture on your website without linking back. Almost all the pictures there are copyrighted. However, the people who post their pictures can decide to put it under a certain copyright that allows you to use their pics. You still have to acknowledge it's theirs though. Cool. I was actually looking for stock photos.. I had a hard time looking for few over the net.. Hope I can find a photo not smaller than 900px.. Are we sure that those images are free?

I like morguefile too, but use istock photo a lot - I want to know why getty charges so darn much for their images? I can see a lot for images of movie stars, but not regular images...just confuses me.
