Drag drop Text from editpad/notepad to Textinput

Hi,

This must be possible but I don't know how to do it. Searched the net but could only find how to drag and drop files / images into flex / air

What I want to do is following.

I like to select a piece of text from, editpad or notepad or word or a webpage and drag it on to a AIR application into a Text input field.

The drag and drop part i've got... but as soon as I drop I've got nothing, it looks like the drop was empty.

Could anybody tell me if this is even possible? and help me on the way with the ondrop statement.

Thanxs

I doubt this is possible in AIR. Dragging between windows(in Windows) depends on an OLE component from Microsoft, and due to the fact that AIR is cross-platform I don't think Adobe would take the time/effort to build this into the AIR components -just- for Windows(for example) when the market for such a feature is probably quite small, even in comparison to the AIR market, which is quite small.

That is really to bad. I would be great to drag text to AIR. Even if it would be plain text.
