Partner needed for Construction Industry Web Site

Working partner needed for construction industry related web site similar to www.tradeestimating.com but with a superior customer interface, superior estimating features, and other features.

Looking for a true 50% partnership in a LLC. I have the expertise on the construction, sales and business end. Looking for someone with coding skills to work closely with me to develop the idea into a profitable business. All costs and income shared 50/50 although there should be minimal up front costs other than a cloud server during early development.

Serious inquiries only. Significant income potential. 1-2 year estimated roll out time frame. Must be US citizen preferably living in the Southeast.

Hello Kalhoun,

I am interested in discussing the potentials with this site, and I would have a laundry list of questions (eventually at least) to go over the details. For the moment I will go into details related to business/partnerships.

First, I normally don't do these kinds of things because often there is no security and the person wanting a coder has nothing to offer. You say you have the business and sales background, but what else can you bring? I think it is fair for the coder to not have any financial burdens up front, as it is significantly more work on their part to make this work. Would you be willing to take the up front costs?

Second, who will manage this? I presume since you want to incorporate that you wish to have it split, but are you sure that you don't want to just hire a coder (like me) to make it and then take it all for yourself? I understand the rationale of a partnership in this situation if you don't have the ability to pay up front, but finding a good partner will take a SOLID business plan and cash.

Third, how much have you thought this over? I don't know if you just want to compete with this other site or if you have seriously considered all features and have a solid outline of what the site should accomplish.

Last, 1-2 years is a long time, what is so complex about it that it must take so long?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I have some experience in this industry and it is very tough. In the building software industry getting to market is very hard. How do you plan to do it?

not only software even in the world of buildings everything needs to be planned and structured like Baltimore general contractors did for me, to help my house look new and modern, planning is the key
