To all thread starters, check your "pm" box for responses, as that's how bidders will be communicating with you mainly using. You can turn on new pm notification by going to "User CP"-> "Edit Options"-> "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages".
To respondents, avoid replying to a thread with a short generic response like "pm sent" as much as possible. It is pointless and clutters up the screen.
To respondents, don't reply to a work request with a summary of your resume. If you're not willing to spend the time to at least read the request and respond specifically to the request, then don't reply. The Web Projects forum isn't a place to get your resume/ portfolio posted on as many threads as possible, it's for the direct, human interaction between coder and client. Members who blanket the forums with their resume replies will be treated as spammers and banned.
To all thread starters, please update your thread's prefix to "resolved", when you've found a coder for your project or partnership (or wish to terminate the request). This is so coders don't waste time bidding on an invalid project. To do this, click on the "Edit" button under the first post of the thread, then the "Go Advanced" button. You have 14 days to update your thread's title.
I had a programmer programme an app which should be both mac and pc compatible which would search several mp3 websites, allow the user to stream the mp3's and download them on the app. However the programmer didn't finish the app, so i need someone else to finish it for me. I will send the files to any interested programmer who contacts, me.
What needs to be done is:
1) add a decent and stylish GUI for both mac and PC
2) add three other sites to the search.
3)add tabbed search to it.
4)add a duration to the mp3's
5) show percentage downloaded when downloading.
6) improve settings and layout.
7)Add a licensing function, allowing me to sell it.
As this shouldn't take too long for a decent programmer and i have already exhausted my budget on this project i am willing to offer $60 to any programmer who can help me finish this.
well obviously your not the type of programmer im looking for, i'm looking for one who is able to charge cheaper rates such as $10 an hour. I have seen many programmer who are willing. So if your not interested please stop leaving your unnecessary comments on my thread.
your attempt at whit is quite appalling. Not everyone has huge budgets they can throw about on projects or large amounts of time to learn a new programming language.

Maybe you can get someone to finish up your program for free....? For a share of the equity?
Or perhaps you could put up your project on Source Forge and invite others to contribute. You'll have to make it an open source project but it will probably garner some interest.
finally thanks for a useful contribution to the thread. Although i am getting quite a bit of interest on getacoder and freelancerchina at the moment. Also the equity option sounds too complicated contracts etc, would end up working out more expensive probably.
