Flash page overlay effect advice?

Hi guys was wondering if you could point me in the direction of any tutorials focused at the following flash effect viewed at the top right hand side of this homepage http://www.navegabem.com/ basically its some sort of overlap that Id love to use in on of my designs if possible, many thanks in advance!

This is about the only tutorial I can find quickly, but perhaps Google can find more.

The scripts on most of the examples I've seen are paid scripts.
