Changing Method in Experience

1) Project Details: In a online text based game. I wish to change the way experience is gained. If your level 10 and you have 540 experience and level 11 is 670 experience, it shows 540/670. When you level it goes like 675/807.

I want it to reset to 0 on each level up, but the next level goes higher. Such as this.

Current exp: 103/140
Gained 50 exp, and leveled
Current exp: 0/185

So it resets to 0 every time you level up, and the next level goes higher.

The structure of experience and leveling is already coded in, so it just needs to be modified. You will need gaming knowledge to do this.
