I have started doing web development as a freelancer. I want to create flash intros and website on my own. But I have a problem. I do not have knowledge of Flash. Can anyone please tell me some place or software from where I can get readymade flash intros or similar stuff at some nominal price?

That might be a problem, Henry. Why not learn Flash first? If you can't afford the pricetag, try eBay, you can usually get it for about 1/3 - 1/2 price there.

If you don't want to take the time to learn a program (although I find Swish quite easy to get the hang of), check out Template Monster for all of your template, flash, and intro needs. You could also just run a search on Google, I'm sure there are lots of sites that sell templates, and they're getting cheaper and cheaper.
I prefer Flash MX 2004, although it had a hefty price tag. I think that it is better than Swish (well it is) because you can implement a lot more features into a flash movie than you can in SWiSH.
Having said that, I learnt with SWiSH, and yes, it is a great place to start designing flash.
I love using flash. I have never even heard of Swish. Shows what i know. Flash is worth every dollar you spend. You can definately incorporate a lot with flash. Check out my personal page. The navigation bar is made with flash. I made some bogus ads with flash, and a picture of me waving back and forth as a joke. I am only a beginner using flash, but you can definately do a lot with it. BUY IT AND LEARN IT!
Thanks all for your valuable advice. Learning flash is not a problem. I started learning it some time past, but after learning its basics I came to know that designing flash intros is a very time consuming task. So due to shortage of time I would prefer some readymade stuff. I will check the suggestion of using swish.
Give some more suggestions so that I may select the best option.
yes i have flash mx 2004 and i know quite a lot about it, but my brother prefers SWiSH because he finds it easier to use. I started out on flash mx and have now moved up to flash mx 2004 professional.

SwishMax (Swish's latest) is probably the best tool for creating .swf files next to Flash.
SwishMax is good if you just want to do something small and quick without much functionality. But if you really want to do complex stuff, swish is not half the man flash is. I've made mistakes starting with swish and wishing later that i had started with flash because of swish's setbacks. (Note: Projects made with swish cannot be edited with flash and vice versa) So it's better you analyse the project before hand, if it's real flash, then go for Flash MX professional 2004.
