Flash tweens, twists, and other stuff

Hi all,

I'm working on making a flash "trailer" for a movie. I'm using the movie "Aliens Vs. Predator" and have some images and sounds that I've put into the library.

To start off, I simply have an alien and a predator tweening onto the scene. First off, at frame 75 I want them to stop so that they're facing each other. Secondly, I'd kind of like them to then "butt heads" and at that point integrate the 4 second "growling" sound clip I have.

Then, I have a logo for the movie that I want to kind of (I don't know how to describe this) want to come from afar into the foreground.

Then I want to make that logo a URL link (that I think I can do myself).

Can someone gimme a hand, please? I've tried the free transform tool to maneuver the alien and predator to butt heads, but I couldn't get it to work right. What it did was start the transform during the tween which I don't want.

I'd appreciate any help. I've posted my current FLA file on my website and you can check it out HERE. Let's keep the laughter to a minimum, folks. I know I suck at this!

Can you link to the URL above for the file? I've heard one report that it's giving a DNS error, but it works for me.

I think you need to get either a full head to toe shot of the alien or a good head shot of the predator. Trying to make it look even semi-plausable when one image is a piece of head and the other is a blurry full height shot (which has been scanned from an offset print) is next to impossible.

More hunting for images, me thinks

I know, the images suck, but there all I could find that was anywhere near decent. I understand your point, it looks terrible and I know it. Regardless...

Ok, I've added the "growling" sound where I want it (at the end of the creatures tweening in). The first problem I have is that the tween starts over again and repeats. I only want it to happen once.

Can someone gimme a hand with that?

Also, once I get the tween stopped, I'd like the two creatures to sort of "butt heads" like rams do. Know what I mean? I tried the free transform tool, but that doesn't do it. I'd appreciate help with that, too please.

In the action section add
stop()
to where you want it to stop playing.

Hmmmmmm,

I tried that in several different places and it works to stop the tween, but it also stops the sound from playing. Right now, the sound starts as soon as the tween ends.

Hi again,

I've got the movie pretty much how I want it, but I need to add the logo. What I'd like to do is have the logo start at frame 131 coming in from the right. That's easy, but what I'd like to do is have the logo spin very fast while it's coming in. How on earth do I do that?! I want it to end up right in the middle of the scene. Then, I'll make it a link.
