trouble installing apache on win2k

i got myself win2k installed recently, and on that, i am having trouble installing apache.
I followed instructions from this article as before....

but when i run that "http://localhost" i get a "cannot find server" message....any clues dear experts ??

Is apache running? If you set it up as a service, check in the services MMC snap in to make sure it has started. Otherwise you need to manual start it. You should be able to just double click on apache.exe and it should load up.
