What year is this from????

I remember the first computer my dad bought in 1987 - a 1984 IBM PC XT 8086, 640k RAM, 10Mb hard drive, 5.25" floppy, no modem, 16 color monitor, MS-DOS 3.31, $2500 used.

He's still using it!! It's a ROCK! The ONLY time anything was done to it was when he added a 3.5" floppy drive to the 5.25", and I added a Microsoft 14000 baud (before it was standardized to 14.4) modem.

(shudder, cringe!) Man, how far we've progressed.

That is just absolutely hilarious and it does make one think about how much technology has greatly evolved through these few decades. I just enjoy seeing these retro computer components and such. The oldest computer I've worked on was pretty much an Apple Macintosh; something like a LC475 or an older version back in grade school. It had one of those printers with the dot matrix printer paper. ah, memories.
