No it isn't. A couple of years ago I installed it on two computers and within a month Kaspersky wanted 100%+ of the CPU on each. The only way to actually use the computers for anything was to turn Kaspersky off - which I did piece at a time every couple of days as the part that was still running decided to claim more resources.

The best aspect of Kaspersky is that they will refund your money when you discover that each component wants your entire CPU.

Anyway the latest lists of which AV is the most effective no longer give Kaspersky the top spot.

I always use Avast Antivirus for PC security and I think it is the best.

A combination of AVG (free and works better than most paid apps) and MalwareBytes.

Intelligent use of your computer is the best anti-virus >.>. CCleaner + adblocks + safe browsing practices = no risk. You don't just magically get viruses, they happen from not being aware or paying attention to what you do. Use your brains CPU and not your computers, the processing power is greater .
