Introduction to HTML & CSS

Hey guys,

I'm new here, and just wanted to introduce myself to you all..this is a great forum and it looks like a lot of you are pretty advanced unlike myself.

I'd like to know if you can recommend a good website, youtube channel, forum post etc... that you used to learn coding. I know the basic's of HTML & CSS (i.e the very basics, <h1><p> etc..) but I want to continue learning and expanding my working knowledge in this area.

If you can point me in the right direction that would be great!

Thx guys

The 2 that I frequently used when I was first learning were W3Schools, and CSS-Tricks.

I'm not 100% on this, but Chris (the owner of CSS-Tricks) should have a bunch of videos available about different issues one might come across when coding a website. But study W3Schools first.

w3schools is getting further and further out of date as the two guys that run it can't keep up with all the changes in all the different languages they cover. The HTML and CSS part isn't too bad but definitely don't bother with the rest - the JavaScript section for example is prehistoric.

http://webdesign.about.com is an up to date site covering HTML and CSS properly.
