Best In Office Monitoring Software?

We're looking for a new software to deploy in the office.

We need something which log keystrokes, tracks all internet usage, and will enable us to discreetly view their desktop live.

We've been using team viewer to log onto desktops for support, and we will continue to use this software - but we need a discreet, unobtrusive, rather - hidden way to view what is going on a specific desktop, and ideally we would like to view the active desktops of all computers at the same time.

I remember a similar program being used in school, for their network but I am unsure what they used.

Also, we're looking for something we can torrent to implement and test if it will fully serve our needs (we can't use a trial - we do not need limitations) before we order a valid license.

Thank you.

Have you tried looking at Time Doctor?

It has everything you need (track internet usage, screenshots, time tracking, productivity monitoring) except for keystrokes. This software is used in most office setting especially virtual ones. It aims to improve productivity and key logging is more likely to make the monitoring counter productive so I understand why it never included that.

You can check this video to see how this employee monitoring software works.

You can test it free for 30 days by the way. So, you can pretty much evaluate if it would work well for you. I'm sure it will.

Just a disclaimer... I don't know if you are in US or not- but to the best of my knowledge (in the US) doing what you are proposing without having an employee's signature acknowledging the fact that they know you will be doing this, and that they are subject to it is illegal. It's an infringement on privacy. Granted most places will have in their initial paperwork that their employees are subject to such monitoring, and they may have already signed something, if it is not you better KYA. If you were to terminate someone based on information gathered by such means you are leaving a wide open door for a lawsuit.

This is very much important. Glad you opened this up. Any form on monitoring or tracking should have proper and full disclosure to the employees.

You can use Websense for internet usage, tracking websites. Use keylogger to log all key strokes. In order to monitor employees computers remotely, you may consider deploying on premise remote support appliance such as RHUB appliances.

Forget legality for a moment: have you asked why? Why do you need such software?

If you can't trust your team to do their jobs... you have bigger issues than any key logging software will fix.

The Internet is what makes your business run. Communications, ordering, product development - the Internet has made it all work better, meaning a stronger bottom line for your company. But while small business owners know that efficiency is the key to success, we also know it's becoming harder and harder to ensure employee productivity amongst distractions like personal email, instant messaging, online games, message boards and more. And that is why we developed The Office Software (theOS). The Office Software is a computer monitoring system designed specifically to meet the needs of small business owners who need to ensure their company is getting the most from its employees.

Monitoring of employee’s activities is one of the most preferred ways of improving organizational productivity. RecoveryFix Employee Activity Monitor software is an employee monitoring tool that is very useful for the business owners and employers to keep a track on the all desktop activities of their employees. It is useful not only for professionals, but also for home users to monitor computer activities performed by children, spouse, others.

Thanks
