How best to present multiple language options

I need to present a webpage that has several language options. Is a clickable map of areas a good way to go? As far as layout and setup, any advice?

I prefer the little flags, though of course country does not necessarily define language. The other option is a pull-down.

How many languages do you realistically expect to have? If only a few, then buttons with the country flag will do.

For instance: http://www.lrp.cc/

I think Google translator is the best option.
