Menu breaks when you zoom in and out

So, my category menu breaks every time I zoom in or out. I am using responsive design, and everything is fine when you just resize the browser window. It's when you use the zoom feature that it breaks. When I say "breaks", I mean the "Random Things" button drops under the menu bar.

I tried changing the padding around the buttons, but that leaves a gap at the end of the menu.

I can't seem to figure this out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those menu items don't seem to be trying to fit in the menu bar very hard. I think the only dynamic part about them is relative to the text inside them, instead of the menu bar itself.

Sorry to inform you, but by the sounds of it you haven't checked your site in Internet Explorer recently.

Have you tried sticking a wrapper around it so it doesn't go out of the specified width?

you're right, I haven't. Thank you for pointing that out. Now I have a lot more problems haha

I tried this but couldn't get it to work. I just changed the padding to margin. it's not exactly what I wanted but, this way it doesn't break when zooming.
