I really like this forum. However, I am seeing a severe increase in the amount of SPAM that makes it through. Often I'll find 5 posts in a row that I would love to report all of them. But the 60 second delay is making that difficult, as I am usually at work when I find them, and can't sit on my hands for 60 seconds to report the next SPAM post I run across.
Please remove the 60 second delay for reporting posts.

There's a flood control on report spam?
Hopefully George can take a looksee at this, and hopefully its not integrated with the postings. If it is, then that won't be any good either as spam won't have to wait 60 seconds for more spam.
I have an interesting idea on how to deal with spam, but I can't see implementing it into the vB being a feasible option.

Also, tracknut is correct. We delete spam via a delete as spam option which lets us nuke all posts by that user at the same time. Just a single report for a specific poster is sufficient.
They are amazingly fast though I have to admit. I'm gone for a smoke or in the datacenter doing something for a half an hour and tons to clean up when I get back :/

Yes there is a flood control on the report a post feature. But as was pointed out really just need to report one post for each user.
Good luck though getting any changes in place now that CF has been sold and the captain has abandoned ship.

I always wondered why the limit was so high, but never thought too much into it. Usually if a post it reported the mods wills look into the user's other posts. Generally all of the posts are deleted, and the user's account is banned. I haven't yet seen one instant where a person had only posted one count of spam. Generally if I look at their posts there are severl counts of spam.

Sometimes I feel this delay is just applicable to the "Reporters" and not for the "Spammers" :-(
@WA: Could you please add a simple filter to prevent someone from posting a thread as "Resolved"? (or automatically suspend the account when someone posts 2 or three such posts? )

Just adding my 2 cents...I have exactly this same issue sometimes.
My morning routine includes a quick sweep through a lot of the new posts from the day before or from overnight activity on the forum. I will often find a morning (or at least morning here in the US) glut of spam from more than one user when I do this, and as I tend to move briskly through the threads I'm often stuck waiting 60 seconds for each spam user I find. Given that I have other things to do with my mornings I often don't bother to hang around and report more than one or two of them simply because I don't want to wait out the clock (especially in welll-traveled parts of the forum that I expect other users will report or mods will see on their own).
I won't pretend to know what the best solution is for that, but I can attest to having felt the very same frustration and it reduces the number of spam posters that I can afford to take the time to report on any given occasion.
Also - before I finally read in an earlier thread that a mod will sweep all of a spammer's posts - I used to try to track down and report each individual post from each spammer I was reporting. I've known better for a while now but it may be wise to add that information to the rules or guidelines section to keep other well-meaning souls from sending excessive spam reports for a single user. My first 2-3 years here I never knew that and I'm sure some of the mods paid the price for my zeal.

There are other separate spammers I've seen this morning but I'm just posting the forum screenshots where two unique spammers can be seen side-by-side.
We really need the capacity to report more than one user in a timely manner.
Precisely! If the delay were removed, any of us would be able to report these for removal, quickly. This is absurd.

I hate to keep saying it, but if moderation was applied to all new users then that would solve all your problems.
The new spam tools work a lot better. We're down to ~10% false positive on legit posts, which isn't too bad, and we're only seeing about 5% of the spam get through now. Mucho better.
