Simple splash screen

Hello everyone,

I am a photographer and need some help creating a simple splash screen for my website. I want a two column fluid layout using two photographs. I want to utilize jQuery's blur effect. So when you load the page both columns (both photographs) will be blurred. When you mouseover each one they unblur and a piece of text appears. For example:

The left column will be a link to my photography. It will have one of my photographs blurred on initial load. When you go over it with your mouse I want it to unblur and the words Photography appear. I want the whole side to act as a link.

The same with the other side except the words "digital art" will appear and a different img used.

I want each column to be up against the other so no margins.

Lastly I want my logo (roughly 300x220) to be in the top middle of the columns. Over them.

I know some about coding, its just getting the initial steps done to the point I can tweak them. I wish I had the time to figure this out myself but unfortunately do not.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding the design. Thanks.
