Slow in IE

Hi, my website at www.ironwhisk.com is very slow in internet explorer. Does anyone have any ideas why?

In fact, it's kind of slow in Mozilla too. It's only fast chrome.

If you have firebug installed in FireFox, you can see the network traffic. It would be a useful exercise to go through. You have 64 network requests, totaling about 1.7MB of content. Pretty big. Your large images are over 300KB, that could be an easy place to start optimizing.
