Registered just to say thank you!!! This problem drove me nuts, and I knew I pressed something weird since I was playing game and having Word open at the same time, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what.

It's too funny that after 6 years, there are still people who benefit from this thread lol!

Yes, it is also happening with me, When copy & paste, it create hyper link itself and if you type then it not unless you press enter.

I just had to join the forum to express my gratitude for this thread. I've been going crazy for the past hour trying to find a fix for the hyperlink problem and stumbled on the post with the Alt+F9 solution. Bravo!!!!

8 years later, this thread is still saving the sanity of Microsoft Word users!

Amazing Microsoft hasn't made it obvious to the user by now that this specific toggle was turned on
