Exclamation How do I delete DVD re-writable disks.

I have been having trouble with my DVD program. (Windows 7)
When I want to re-use a disk, I usually format it which tells me that ALL data on the disk will be deleted. Then whwn I try to re-use the disk, I get a message telling me that the divk will need to be deleted before I can re-use it.

I get no problems with new disks. I cannot find a way to make the re formatted disks useable. Any help welcomed.

Frank

Do you format it with the tools in windows (when you right click the disk and choose "format" or something similiar) or are you using a third party software?

I am using the Windows 7 built-in facility.

I would recomend you to download the free trial of Nero burning ROM which is available here: http://www.nero.com/eng/nero-burning...-overview.html

Then you try to format the dvd from that software. And if that gives you the same result it might be possible that you've got some issues with your computer's optical disk drive.

What kind of DVD you used? Is DVD rewriter or DVD? Both of DVD is different, especially if you want deleted some file inside.

We are using Nero Burning ROM for copying writeable disks and formatting DVD-RW drives.

The better solution is if u use blue ray DVD disc so you can delete disc content. easily using any burning software.
