Relationship Between eCommerce and JSP/ASP.NET

Is there a reason why most eCommerce websites are written in the JSP or ASP.NET language?

This question has always been in my mind as when I go to most big name retail websites, I see via "builtwith" that these are usually listed as the language or framework

And then expanding on this question...is there some type of JSP/ASP.NET alternative framework that functions like WordPress? I'm sure every single page isn't coded by hand, which leads me to wonder about how these pages are dynamically deployed without a CMS type of structure (at least none that I know of).

for what it's worth*

ASP.NET is powerful and popular- I code ASP.NET - for me I would assume (since I do C# and Java) that it would be much easier for me to flip to JSP than php. I have no clue what php even looks like aside form the few code snips I've seen in random posts. I am guessing that JSP can/does leverage the same power as ASP.NET

I get the impression that php is closer to ASP than ASP.NET and JSP is closer to ASP.NET than ASP... I could be totally off on that though

Thank you for that alykins.

Can you tell me a bit more? I've purchased ASP.NET tuts from various places, however nothing that I've come across seems to be as straight forward as HTML/CSS/PHP tuts.

Is there any type of CMS for ASP.NET or JSP? Do you guys hand code every single page when making a site? How does it work? Again, the tutorials I've come across are rather remedial, and I learn WAY better circumstantially.

ie - I learned PHP not by knowing and memorizing the list of ENDLESS commands, but by finding tuts that dealt with what I wanted to accomplish and then trickling to down to the required basics from there.
