Domain name question - configuation

I'm not sure what this is called, so I didn't search the forum so if its been answered before my applogies.

I have a domain foo.com and I would like www.foo.com to go to one host company and support.foo.com to go to a diffrent host company.

How and where would I configure this?

firepages will become famous soon enough
who manages your DNS ? basically in your DNS settings you would add a record for the subdomain `support.` and point it at the IP address of the other server, so basically you need access to your nameservers to make these changes.
