Problem with absolute positioning in IE

Hi, I'm having a problem with positioning a div absolutely in IE8 (and other IE versions, I presume).

My div #banner_content is the element in question. It's behaving perfectly in all browsers but IE, where it appears far to the right of where it should.

I'd appreciate any help on this.

Update: I think I may have solved the problem. I hadn't added 'Left: 0' to the div as I should have.
