Smile Please help me with my Father's Day present!

Hi guys and gals-

My father is a senior programmer analyst, and he LOVES puns. For Father's Day, I really, really want to make him a present with a good joke on it in a programming language that he understands. I looked up jokes in programming languages on Google, but I'm facing two problems: Most of the jokes are in English syntax, not programming language; also, there are no explanations for people like me who aren't in on the joke (so I don't know if it's appropriate or not).

If you guys know of any jokes or puns that are in programming language, please respond to this thread! It would make my dad SO happy because the whole rest of our family - myself included - is very right-brain and conceptual, and we've never really understood his work. I'm an English and art person, so the one thing I do understand and connect with in his work is the idea of linguistics, and it amazes me that he's memorized and can read and interpret all of these different languages. I'd like to show him that I appreciate his work and his sense of humor and I think this would be a perfect way to do it. And if you could just explain the joke to me on a basic level I'd appreciate it greatly.

Thank you so much in advance for your time and help!

Rex

About six months ago, I bought a black t-shirt with only the word "++ungood" printed on it. If you get him that, play the famous Macintosh ad with the Olympic hammer throw first.

Cool, so I get (and dig!) the Newspeak reference, but how does "++" function in programming language? A lot of the jokes I see seem to function on that.

++ is an operator that means "increment by one". In Newspeak, it's just "double plus". So you get "doubleplusungood", which is basically an expletive.
