intercept internet

Hello, teorically is it possible that someone that can access to my internet provider central can intercept all my internet activities (like the site i visit, etc) ?
Is it possible to know if it happen?

Yes it is theoretically possible (at least for what is sent using plain text - and thing sent via HTTPS will be encrypted and only readable by you and the web site you are accessing) and no there is no way to tell if it happens.

If your that worried about it the only ways to really stop it is an an ssh or vpn connection to an outside computer and ten using that computer to access your Internet.......

If you are only concerned about web sites visited, simply use the tor browser bundle: https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en

Using this modified Firefox will router all your browsing through the tor network, and thus make you immune to spying on by either your isp, the government or whoever else.... and best of all, this is a completely free option.....

So using Tor they can't intercept my internet traffic in any way?
Is it possible use it with google chrome?

you'll be secure, and yes you can, just Google how to configure chrome for tor, what it'll consist of though is setting up chrome to go through the tor proxy

Hello, I installed Tor with Firefox and it works but I've a curiosity, if all the ports are closed by the firewall and router how can Tor connect to the internet via the port 9051?
Shouldn't I open it?
