I was wondering if it would be possible to add a new "Sub-Forum" to the "Server side development" section; "Node.js".
Node.js is a
rapidly expanding and
increasingly recognized server-side platform using chrome's V8 javascript engine to deliver data to/from URIs and files.
Node.js is also under-served in stronger community-based forums, most searches defaulting to S.O. threads and tags. I think we could attract a few knowledgeable regulars who have little elsewhere to go besides IRC. It's a win-win situation for CF and the node.js community.
Aside from Node.js code problems, the technology has a few major sub-topics itself: NPM packages, deployment, and discussion seem like major ones. Discussion would be for non-code questions like "is it safe to use", "can it handle xyz", and "is there an NPM package that does xyz".
I think it merits it's own section, but that's an opinion. I think it's more factual to say "we could use something on node.js", so a section like "Python" in "Other server side languages/ issues" would be better than nothing.
I would be glad to help out in anyway i can with this.
