jquery UI autocomplete with json

Hi,
I'm trying to create an auto complete form element. I have already been provided a json file but I'm not too sure what to do with it! I've found the website hasn't been very helpul... So if someone could help me out, that would be so awesome!

I don't quite understand what to do with the .json file. Everytime I look it up, people seem to be talking about .php files etc. Am I supposed to use the .json file? I'm not wanting to connect to a database.

Appreciate any help!
