and if i reinstall the forum theme i loose all my data from there? all my settings? all my posts and users?

No. The theme is just a skin. You will keep all the data. You can even change the theme if you wanted to from here: http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/st...ard_styles-12/

sure...i will make that....i use a hostgator domain......can i reinstall the theme from the QuickInstall? there is this:

Do it yourself. Just pick which one you want, download it, then place it in the directory in your file manager. The install it through the ACP

Then it looks like you will have to completely reinstall you forum. Just backup the database and then import it to the new forum. And if you need any help with that, you are best off going to the phpbb forum.
