How to learn flash for embedding in websites

So how do I learn flash to embed things in a website?

People are obviously very visual, so various flash slideshows etc would be nice. Im not too worried about the PHP/Javascript etc at this point, as I can learn that later, and get pre-made slideshows using Javascript etc.

I used a platform called openlaszlo that is built above flash and it was really helpful during the development process
