Welcome to the "Web Projects" forums. Before you post, make sure you've selected the correct category based on the size of your project (in US dollars), or whether it is a partnership or "looking for work" request instead. Observe the guidelines for this section:
To all thread starters, check your "pm" box for responses, as that's how bidders will be communicating with you mainly using. You can turn on new pm notification by going to "User CP"-> "Edit Options"-> "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages".
To respondents, avoid replying to a thread with a short generic response like "pm sent" as much as possible. It is pointless and clutters up the screen.
To respondents, don't reply to a work request with a summary of your resume. If you're not willing to spend the time to at least read the request and respond specifically to the request, then don't reply. The Web Projects forum isn't a place to get your resume/ portfolio posted on as many threads as possible, it's for the direct, human interaction between coder and client. Members who blanket the forums with their resume replies will be treated as spammers and banned.
To all thread starters, please update your thread's prefix to "resolved", when you've found a coder for your project or partnership (or wish to terminate the request). This is so coders don't waste time bidding on an invalid project. To do this, click on the "Edit" button under the first post of the thread, then the "Go Advanced" button. You have 14 days to update your thread's title.
Recently, FunTime Entertainment has become a English distributor of the chinese game HaoHao Wan. This is a very popular chinese game with millions of users. We need a team to make a website that will look lovely. I will be providing some images and I want the team to put it all together and add features that I will mention when everyone is together. You can expect some features to include registration linked to a certain server and an easy access admin panel which doesn't need to be too fancy. I want the admin panel to be just like a WYSIWYG editor but I want templates for the different pages I would want to add aswell.
You are expected to work on these full time and there will be a few legal contracts we will need you to read and fill out.
2) Payment method/ details :
You will be reserving a share of the revenue earn't by the game. As it is a fairly large game your revenue will be dependent on the level of skill you put into the site and managing it.

Let me just make a point: Let's think about the type of person you're going to find who is willing to work for nothing up-front, AND work full time. Nothing up-front means there has to be some other means of income, but this person must not have a wage-earning job, because your project will require full-time commitment. This person will then be either living with parents, or on a trust fund, or on gov't handout, or on student loans. Oh, but this person won't be going to school, because that would require too much time away from your project.
Is this really the demographic you're after? Wouldn't it be better to get funding for your project and then pay a professional coding team a salary to build your project?
Oh and I love how you throw in right at the end that your coder will be expected to MANAGE the site once its built, in order to get his share of the revenue.
Out of curiosity, what percentage of the revenue do you think your role is worth-- providing a few images, and defining the additional features?
By managing I mean being able to provide different templates.
Thats why I mentioned LONG TERM if you were able to read that part, it is in the title.
Its my mistake about the full-time, wrong word to use, I just want people that can be available when I give them an email and expect them to reply within a day or two.
It's not like I want them to work 12 hours a day, only like an hour a day.
You mentioned my role?
Don't act like you know what I do or want to do. I would be the one helping them seeing I do know some forms of code but as you might have realised managing a game, forum and website won't work if you are one person.
I also mentioned the size of the revenue will be based on the amount you put in. I didn't say anything like you will not get any of it if you do not manage it (which isn't really managing it). I was saying that you will get a larger portion.
Also I didn't even mention anything about not being able to pay something upfront, where did you come up with that assumption?
When you say "...based on the amount you put in.", it's kind of meaningless. You should define that much, much better. In other words, a serious and a self-respecting coder/designer would want to undetstand what kind of work they need to do in order to get X percent of the revenue.
Here is how this is being interpreted: "I will pay you X percent of the profit based on how much you contribute, but at this point I really don't know what this percentage will be and how exactly it will be determined, so let's just sort of go with the flow here and we'll figure out all these little details later."
Also, I'm a little confused... how do you go from saying you want someone to work "full time" to "only like an hour a day"? That's quite a jump, and it sounds just a little bit misleading, does it not?
