Startup looking for an experienced and talented coder

1) Project Details: (be as specific as possible):

I’m looking for a coder for a website I’m building and saw some really intelligent people here that I think could work well and enjoy the project. I can’t tell many specifics without NDAs and such, but I can say that it will require a great deal of information and experience as the website
is really multi-faceted in functionality. This includes a background in social networking, the ability to code an original advertising platform, app development, unique forum design, security, e-commerce, and much more.

There is one thing I do NOT want: I do NOT want someone who is going to throw something together with WordPress and call it a good day. There’s plenty of WordPress sites out there, so please don’t waste either of our times. This is a detailed project that requires knowledge, innovation, effort, and RELIABILITY.

This is a very large project, so the initial development of the site is all I am looking for right now. If things go well for this part, there is plenty more development to be done.

2) Payment Amount:

I understand the amount of work this will require, really I do, and for the first part of the project I’m willing to put up about $500, but prices are negotiable, especially if I'm satisfied. It's a startup, but its core philosophy promotes fairness.

3) Payment method/ details (Paypal, check? Timeline?):

We will discuss payment options when we have written a contract.
Timeline: ASAP! First portion must be complete by the first week of May.

4) Additional Info (about project or potential bidders):

I have an in-depth Power Point presentation and Technical Plan detailing the requirements I need the site and its functions to fulfill. If you have strong feelings about the design and ideas in general, I’d love to discuss them!

I can’t wait to hear back from you guys!

Feel free to email me: seller.wc@gmail.com or PM me.

bcarl314 will become famous soon enough
I don't want to sound cynical, but I don't think you're going to find an experienced US / European (not sure if this is required) programmer to do what you're asking for for around $500.

Most programmers, good programmers (in the US / Europe), will be charging between $40 and $80 / hr. That gives them about 5 - 10hours of work on your project. Based on what you've posted, understanding the requirements alone will eat up several hours of your budget.

We understand that the money is not great, but the amount listed is only for starting the project. We are definitely willing to pay more if we get what we are looking for. We'd probably end up paying on an itemized basis; so to give us the basic functions that we require to market this project we'd begin at $500, and continue to pay more as long as the coding services continued to meet our satisfaction. What you say is absolutely realistic, but unfortunately we've had bad experiences with coders before and rather than promise the world we'd prefer to take it one step at the time. The project is really great and highly profitable, and honestly, we aren't looking for someone to just give us a site and leave us -- we want to build a relationship with our coders, one that will be financially sound for all of us. If you're an American coder that's really interested in what the project is please let us know and we can talk about it, and feasible financial remuneration, further. Thanks very much.
