I agree with pretty much all that you said but this just goes to highlight what a curious language English is. Most of my work involves removing Americanisms from text. Although the words used are generally acceptable "among" vs. "amongst" for example, as you say, it's preferable to maintain a certain style.

Sadly i am the author of all on my site and the word GrammerProof is my very own glaring mistake. Thanks for spotting it for me Bazz.

Anyway, where did i put that wood grain texture.....? Onwards and upwards....
