I am using the windows XAMPP server for testing my site but I am having problems building a site using this testing server.

If I put any images over 30KB on my page they dont display when I preview them in the browser, any under 30KB seem to be fine.

I cant use any of the javascript libraries (prototype etc). When I link to one of them libraries I get all sorts of syntax errors in firefox's error console (even though these errors aren't even in the javascript file).

Does anyone what could be causing this?
