Required Sr. MySQL DBA & Instructor, India
The MySQL Senior DBA & Instructor delivers education & DBA services to our customers and is responsible for the success and quality of the training and consulting assignment delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver on-site and public training on any of the MySQL training courses
• Manage Onsite / Offsite Consulting / DBA Assignments
• Consistently deliver against utilization, quality and revenue targets
• Working closely with clients and OSScube / MySQL team to define accurate schedules
• Participate in the development of plans for continuous personal and professional growth
• Acting as technical guide and mentor to other team members
• Create, review, deliver input and maintain class curriculum

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as an instructor / consultant in the database field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deep understanding of MySQL
• Language skills: C/C++ / Java / PHP/ Perl / Python
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and have a flexible positive attitude
• Must be an experienced, motivated, self-starter who is willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment
• Significant travel is required (approximately 50%)
• Expertise with in-memory databases and other high-performance alternatives
• Working knowledge with other DBMS including Oracle RAC, Sybase, Informix, PostgreSQL, Pervasive, Times Ten and Caché is a plus
• Working knowledge of application and web servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache Tomcat is a plus
• Working knowledge of J2EE/LAMP stacks (EJB, JSP, ASP, Servlets, JNDI, XML/XSL) to implement a distributed n-tier object system is a plus
• Experience under Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX
