Nearly every editor you download will have font too small. Right now I'm using SciTE, which you can get for Mac and Windows as well as Linux and Unix, and it's free! But like the other editors I've known, I had to change the settings for the font size because it was designed when displays had 75 DPI, and now they have 125 DPI. So download SciTE, open the Options for the Global options file, select all and copy that text into the User options file, then edit the font sizes for your operating system. Then you will be comfortable.
