Paid help: Changing header color to red in BuddyP

I'm using WordPress with BuddyPress and a child theme on it to give it three columns. Simple.

Okay, I would like to add a snippet of CSS that would pull in my custom CSS to change the header color and even the header font.

I'd like to do it this way because when I someday install an upgrade, I don't want these settings lost. Or, if it's easy, I can just add it back after an upgrade. You decide.

Basically, I want to have a red header -- just like the BP Default with gradations -- only in red. I don't want to use a graphic.

I can supply access name and password to anyone interested.

Here's my new site: www.gumpolen.com

I have PayPal. Please visit my site and quote me a price to change the header color to red, and in such a way that it won't be overwritten on an upgrade. Or to do it in such a way that I just change it back after an upgrade.

For this paid help, I must be given the knowledge on how to do it on my own.

Thanks,
Kevin
