Hi there,
As part of my university assignment I have to create from scratch a widget which pulls data from another site to present in a nice useful way.

However all I can seem to find is widget builder tools which are not suitable. Does anyone have any ideas at all? Any widget creation websites? I certainly do not want to copy and paste, I want to get back to basics and code, however I need a starting point. Do you know of any good websites? What language would you recommend? XML, PHP??
