1. If I want to edit any content/styles, etc myself, how would that be possible (I know with HTML/CSS you just change the code and that updates it, so just wondering how I would obtain whatever it is that would allow me to alter the site as needed), or what that requires?

WordPress works around themes, if you want to the change look of the whole website you simply change the theme from downloading one from Google or major theme providers "WooThemes, etc". No major scripting is needed unless you want to edit a feature of a theme/plugin.

2. Just wondering if with a wordpress site you're able to assign your own domain name to it without the "wordpress" in the address like you are able to with an html/css site?

The Wordpress url is only infront of this site because I have it on a server I used a wget command and tar -xvf the file and it will auto create a a folder called "wordpress".

3. With wordpress is there a way you can add background music when you go to the page, or a music player option to the page?
Note: Once you get your .com website up and running I will need to set up your wordpress because I have the export wordpress information i.e the theme settings, pages, colours, etc.
