A full-page ad on CF? No, this is not a good thing.

The banners are annoying enough, but OK. You have to give the new owners some room to do business and I can live with that. But a full-page, take-over-the-screen advertisement hitting me in the face when I land on the CF homepage? WHAT THE F---?! Now I've had to make CF a restricted website in IE in order to keep that garbage out of my way. (And no, I'm not going to install any extra plugins or extensions to IE to selectively block the offending portions...now you simply lose everything from me apart from my IP address and OS/browser info. No more analytics, no more ad services, no more of anything else.)

So if anyone from the overlords' office actually reads this feedback section then please tell them that I am personally put off by this. Let them know it's me. I'm sure that will get things moving.

Seriously though, much more of this type of boneheaded "marketing" and I'm afraid I'll be out of patience. I can't tell you how many members will go elsewhere if things keep heading in the current direction...but I know of at least one.

It's usually a good idea to start out with this at the VERY TOP of your CSS: * {border:0;margin:0;padding:0;}
Seek and you shall find... basically:
