Good morning MMM717,
That ignore IE in my signature is referring to IE6.
I actually forgot that IE7 drops the ball on display: inline-block; There is a fix, along with a pretty good article on what's happening, here.

The space between those buttons is adjusted by the margin on the li. The word "button" can just be taken out, an anchor doesn't have to have text in it.
