Hi, appears that copying through the forum is introducing unwanted code which was compounded by the conflict between UFT-8 and ANSI. I shall write up some virgin code and pass it on as an attachment, and yes the side column can be kept as a single unit as I twigged ten minutes after posting. Simply contain left and right rather than all three columns. Jim
