Next Step for Possible Web Development Career?

Okay so currently I have learned the following skills:
HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, SEO, and Javascript (including AJAX and JQuery)

I am considering moving into the Web Development industry as a career and was wondering which skills you guys believe would be the best to go for (eg what is necessary and / or highly demanded) if I wanted to get hired as a Jr. Developer within the next year or two.

For instance I might consider e-commerce next since I would bet there are probably a lot of people looking to take their brick-and-mortar stores and turn them into online websites. Also I notice on a lot of ads for career opportunities that Java is listed often as well as .net framework.

How does Java factor into web development? I thought it was just a programming language like C++ or C#? What path would you guys take if you were in my shoes (I realize I'm asking you to go out on a limb)? I think databases and algorithms interest me the most (as opposed to graphic design or flash, etc). Any help would be appreciated!
